Wine Pleasures has teamed up for the second year running with Catavins (Fira de Sabadell) to bring the Buyer meets Spanish Cellar Workshop (9-11 November 2011). Some 50 boutique bodegas will be travelling from every corner of Spain to descend on the town of Sabadell to hold private one to one meetings/tastings with wine importers from around the world.

On Day 1 the entertaining British wine critic Charles Metcalfe will be leading a tasting titled “The Many Flavours of Spain” On days 2 & 3 the delegate’s work agenda includes workshop meetings, tastings, & wine and traditional food matching. Hosted buyers benefit from a screaminng deal which includes subsidised flights to and from Barcelona Airport, 2 nights accommodation + meals, a personal schedule of appointments of wineries from Spain and a range of dedicated networking opportunities throughout the 3 days.

This type of marketing activity has already proved its worth in the past seven editions for both buyers and wineries as an efficient means of establishing business relationships in a one-stop, low cost event.
