Guidelines for Sending Wine Samples

To ensure a seamless process, the Event Organiser has established a flexible timeframe for receiving wine samples prior to the event. This allows ample time for you to arrange the shipment. Once the wines are received, they will be securely stored and transferred to the venue. On the event day, your wines will be ready and waiting at your stand when you arrive in the morning.

Important Shipping Information:

  • Customs Costs: To simplify the process, the Event Organiser requests that wines be shipped via DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). This ensures all additional costs, such as customs fees, are covered by the sender. The amount payable depends on the declared value of the wines.

No Importer Required:
An importer is not required to participate. The Event Organiser handles all wine shipments for the show, ensuring they are safely stored and transferred to London for the event. As these are sample wines and not for resale, this process is fully compliant with regulations.

Shipping Process for Wineries Abroad:
Most wineries send their samples via trusted couriers such as UPS or DHL. Shipments are typically received in March or April before the event.

To guarantee a successful trade tasting, the Event Organiser supplies:

  • Ice buckets (you may also send your branded buckets, if preferred)
  • Spittoons
  • Glassware
  • Access to trade buyers and influencers
